Paris Tourism Economy Rated World’s Most Valuable At $36 Billion
The International Tourism Association named Paris “the most powerful tourist destination in the world” in its annual global tourism study.
The World Travel & Tourism Council studied visitor trends in 195 countries in the latest report produced with Oxford Economics. Paris’ tourist industry made the most money of any city.
But the WTTC added a note of caution: Paris is projected to drop to No. 3 in the next decade, although the association predicts the economic value of its tourism industry will grow to $49 billion.
